Our Volunteer Program has been paused due to the Covid-19 Pandemic , however, our volunteers make a positive impact on the lives of our patients. We will make a point of posting a notice when we are ready to open up the program. If you are interested in volunteering your time please call AND when the time is right, stop by the clinic located at 101 C Woodmark St. in the Silk Mill Complex Building in Orange, VA. (540)
“Volunteers are the backbone of the Orange County Free Clinic. We have a cadre of volunteer nurses and other healthcare professionals who are essential to our mission of delivering the highest quality health care possible. We have both retired nurses and those still employed full time. They interview the clients, take vital signs, write out chief complaints, and validate current medications -- all before the client is seen by the primary care giver.
Our clinic also serves as a clinical site for RN students, phlebotomy students, and medical students. We offer outpatient experience and the opportunity to work in a community setting with a unique culture. Our clients are always very grateful and our volunteers express how rewarding it is to give back to the community.” ...OCFC
Community Volunteers (you don't need a medical degree to offer a kind word)!
We are also fortunate to have volunteers from our community who give support to our patients by greeting them at the door, helping with financial screening and registration, setting up charts, and completing applications for medications. They do all of these things with friendly smiles and caring concern.
