The Medication Assistance Program (MAP) assist individuals to obtain free medications when they are unable to afford necessary medications and who meet financial qualifications. This is a separate program offered by the Clinic and are not required to be a registered patient at the Clinic or a resident of Orange County.
How it works: Most brand name pharmaceutical companies offer Patient Assistance Programs which provide free prescriptions for income-eligible individuals. Each Company , however, has its own application, eligibility criteria, and application process.
A grant from RxRelief VA through the Virginia Health Care Foundation and other funding, supports two Medication Assistance Caseworkers, certified as Pharmacy Technicians who have access to The Pharmacy Connection software to help you find and apply for the patient assistance programs that can help cover prescriptions.
Eligibility varies according to the medications requested. To participate you must be over age 18 with no prescription drug coverage. Some individuals with Medicare coverage may be eligible if their medications are not covered by Medicare or their Medicare Supplement plan.
